On May 6th, 2019, we celebrated the 70th anniversary of the company’s foundation.
This is thanks entirely to our loyal customers who provide their patronage daily as well as to all of our business partners, our hard-working employees, and their families.
We would like to express our gratitude once again.
On the occasion of our 70th anniversary, we have adopted a new theme, "Thriving with People".
In Japanese, living to the age of 70 is called koki, and consists of the characters for “ancient” and “rare”.
The meaning of the word koki comes from the fact that, since antiquity, it has been rare to live to the age of 70.
Today, we live in an era when people can live to the age of 100.
While it may now be possible through technical innovation for humans to live to the age of 100, this is more difficult for companies.
In this era of AI and IOT, I believe we have no choice but to respond as a company.
New technologies should be created and used for the sake of people.
Since our establishment, our company has existed as “a company that should be for the sake of people” for more than 70 years.
We continue to hand down the long history built by our predecessors even to this day.
For our 70th anniversary, we have adopted the theme of “Thriving with People” and would like to cherish and work together with people (employees) while striving to improve services and be of even better service to people (valued customers) over the next 30 years in the run-up to our 100th anniversary.
