Produce cargo handling is cargo handling for fruit, vegetables, and chilled (refrigerated) foods. At Tokai Kaiun, we go beyond cargo handling at ports to provide integrated logistics outsourcing for everything including cold storage, distribution processing, and stock management.

This cargo handling involves loading and unloading of vehicles and trailers to and from RO-RO ships. This cargo handling also involves heavy equipment in addition to vehicles and trailers, which require skill and experience.

At Tokai Kaiun Co., Ltd., we own and operate various warehouses in Koto Ward, Ota Ward, and Funabashi City, to serve as bases for transporting raw materials and products for manufacturers, as well as distribution and export warehouses for mail-order businesses.

Short for Nippon Automated Cargo Clearance System, SeaNACCS is a system launched to handle customs procedures for international freight cargo and other tasks related to international cargo in a timely and accurate manner. The NACCS Center (Customs Information Processing Center) host computer is connected via internet to devices at customs, customs brokers, ship companies, and other user offices, allowing us to perform all import, export, and port-related procedures for relevant agencies and organizations by entering and sending data just once, meaning we are able to perform customs clearance procedures extremely fast.

■Please submit an application by fax by 4:00 p.m. the day before the scheduled pickup date (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays). Same-day pickup applications are not accepted, as this would interfere with business operations.
■Be aware cargo may be unable to be picked up if information is not filled in correctly or if the letters are illegible. Please write clearly in block letters.
■Please insert the delivery order sheet (D/O) before cargo pick-up.
■Separate procedures may be required for cargo pick-up at locations other than TACS.
■Please inquire if you have any questions. As of February 1, 2005, we no longer accept requests for pick-up through formats other than the application form.

Import Cargo Unloading Application Form

We perform additional processing to increase product value, such as inspection, price tagging, labeling, and insertion of printed materials according to the state in which customer products are shipped. We not only handle storage of products that have undergone distribution processing, but also provide proxy management services (logistics outsourcing) on behalf of our customers.

Tokai Kaiun’s warehousing and storage operations not only include inventory management and warehousing management, but also light work such as price tagging, order picking, and packaging according to the state of our customers’ cargo. Warehousing and inventory management has also been put online using our proprietary logistics system, enabling us to provide real-time management information.
