1949/5
Founded the headquarters in 3-1 Shiba Kaigan-Dori, Minato-ku, Tokyo with capital of 500,000 yen. Masajiro Tsuraoka appointed as the first president and representative director.

1950

1951/4
Headquarter moved to current location.
1951/8
Obtained Keihin Port Class 2 registration (onboard cargo handling service) based on the Port and Harbor Transportation Business Act.
1951/12
Obtained Keihin Port Class 4 registration (coastal cargo handling service).
Capital increased to ¥1.5 million.

Capital increased to ¥2.5 million.
1953/5
Capital increased to ¥3 million.
Established the Chiba Branch Office in conjunction with the opening of Kawasaki Steel Corporation’s Chiba Steel Works.

Obtained Chiba Port Class 2 (onboard cargo handling) registration in conjunction with the opening of the Chiba Branch Office.

Obtained Keihin Port Class 1 (general port transportation services) registration due to a lack of business opportunities in conventional industries accompanying the development of Tokyo Port.

Obtained a freight vehicle transportation business license for general areas only as part of our coastal business services.

1960

1960/10
Motohide Tsuruoka appointed President following the death of President Masajiro Tsuruoka. Also, built the Yokohama office.

Capital increased to ¥6 million.

Obtained a custom broker’s license from Yokohama customs as part of a plan to expand business at our Yokohama Office.

Opened the Kobe Office as a consolidated transportation proxy for Alaska Pulp, Co. Ltd.

Changed our name from Tokai Niyaku Co., Ltd. to Tokai Kaiun Co., Ltd.
1970/12
Established Tokyo Trade and Port Corporation in Odaiba Public Port (Lot 13, Section 2) with investment from Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd., Interocean Shipping Corporation, Daito Corporation, and Tokai Kaiun Co., Ltd., with Motohide Tsuruoka appointed as first president.
1971/6
Obtained a general area freight vehicle business license for the entire Tokyo metropolitan area in order to expand business area. Capital increased to ¥160 million
1975/4
Established the Oi CY Branch Office with the opening of Oi Container Terminal and Oi No. 1 Berth. Capital increased to ¥200 million.
1976/1
Rebuilt the Shibaura Labor Center as our main office building due to the headquarters burning down.

1980

1980/5
Added sales and lease of real estate to our business categories and built our first rental apartment building in Nishiterao, Kanagawa Ward, Yokohama.
1983/6
Established the Oi Marine Terminal Office with the commencement of foreign cargo handling in the designated bonded area of Oi Public Port.
1986/4
Applied for unrestricted port cargo handling business license in order to shift from limited cargo handling to integrated cargo handling based on the actual circumstances of onboard/coastal service commissions from users, and obtained licenses for Keihin Port Cargo Handling and Chiba Port Cargo Handling.
1986/10
Opened an office in Tokyo Trade Port and promoted it to branch office in order to strengthen operations at our head sales department.
1987/4
Established the Oi Logistics Center Office in conjunction with the opening of the Oi Logistics Center by Naigai Nitto, Co., Ltd.
1988/10
Established the Tokyo Port Center Oi Wharf Warehouse Office in conjunction with the opening of the Tokyo Port Center Oi Wharf Warehouse by The Shibusawa Warehouse, Co., Ltd.
1989/4
Established the Oi Logistics Center Office in conjunction with the opening of the Oi Logistics Center by Daito Corporation.
1989/9
Built the Funabashi Bonded Warehouse in the Katsunan area of Funabashi, Chiba, and opened an office there.
1989/12
Built the rental apartment building Igrek 43 in Makuharihongo, Hanamigawa-ku, Chiba-shi, Chiba. Built a new rental apartment Igrek 42 on the same site in the same year.

Acquired Sancerre Nogata, a rental apartment in Nogata, Nakano Ward.
1993/5
Established the World Logistics Center Office in conjunction with the opening of the World Logistics Center by Daito Corporation.
1993/6
Established the Oi Temperature-Controlled Center Office in conjunction with the opening of the Oi Temperature-Controlled Center by Daito Corporation.
1995/10
Promoted the Funabashi office to a sales office to strengthen operations.
1996/4
Established the Ariake Central Station (TACS) and opened up offices near Odaiba Port Route 3 (2-51 Aomi, Koto Ward).

2000

2000/7
Established the Arrangement Center at TACS, a produce packing worksite for the food service industry and volume retailers.
2001/7
Obtained Keihin a general port transportation service permit at Chiba Port
2002/4
Commenced integrated cargo handling of recycled materials for Mitsubishi Materials Naoshima Factor in the Aomi area.
2003/1
Opened the DC Center in TACS, a sundries distribution processing plant for franchise chains.
2003/4
Obtained a terminal on Odaiba Port Route 2 and began operations as TACS 2.
2004/2
Obtained an Industrial Waste Collection and Transportation License and Specially Controlled Industrial Waste Collection and Transportation License in the Aomi area.
2004/3
Established TACS 3 Tokyo Port Recycling Center in the Tokai area of Ota Ward.
2004/5
Established the Chugoku Lumber Branch Office in Shinminato, Mihama Ward, Chiba.
2006/12
Motohide Tsuruoka appointed President and Junichi Tsuruoka appointed Chairman.

2010

2010/12
Acquired the shed of Odaiba Pier No. 2 line and started as "TACS2".
2015/12
TACS3 Tokyo Port Recycling Center was established in Tokai, Ota-ku, Tokyo.
2019/01
Chugoku Lumber Branch Office opens in Shinko, Mihama-ku, Chiba City.
